Whitney McFarland, M.S., CCC-SLP
ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologist & Myofunctional Therapist

Whitney is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 13 years of experience helping children and families reach their communication and oral function goals. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University and completed an additional 18 credit hours focused on severe disabilities and autism. Whitney’s passion for myofunctional therapy grew from her desire to uncover the root causes behind speech, feeding, and breathing challenges. She is currently working toward her Qualified Orofacial Myologist (QOM) certification to further expand her expertise in orofacial myology. She specializes in working with children experiencing tongue thrust, oral habits, speech sound disorders, and feeding difficulties. Whitney’s therapy approach emphasizes education, connection, and teamwork—empowering families to understand the “why” behind challenges and celebrate progress together. She finds great joy in those “lightbulb moments” when everything begins to make sense and lasting change takes root. Outside the therapy room, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new places, reading, and finding new ways to nurture whole-body wellness.
